About: I am Sandra and I make people sing!
I grew being an Agnostic most of my life until I gave my all to Christ over a year ago and I couldn't be happier! I am not ashamed of being His disciple and I know my time here will be used to share the GOOD NEWS! I never knew I could love so many people. It fills me with joy to think how blessed I have been.
What has the Lord done in your life today? I would love to know. And if you are not a believer, why don't you believe?

ME.

Each day I realize the oddball that I am, and I LOVE it! I want to travel the world as probably the majority of people dream of. I love reading a great book in a short time; it makes me feel that I have accomplished a lot. I talk a lot about music, concerts, and videos. I am not organized at all, I try but it doesn’t last. I enjoy cleaning but I don’t think I’m a freak about it. I enjoy every hug because it makes me feel special. If you kiss me on the forehead I feel like a child. That’s all that I will accept because other than that I don’t like feeling like a child. Tell me what looks good on me, but don’t tell me how to dress. I hate those that fish for compliments. I like receiving compliments when least expected. I don’t cross my legs when I sit because I think it’s uncomfortable. I hate talking on the phone, fifteen minutes is my tops. Purple is my favorite color but I hate lavender. I don’t own a piece of clothing that is completely white. I have a tattoo and I plan to have more. I don’t do anything special to my hair besides straightening or keeping it curly. I like to wear heels because I like to feel tall. I often complain about being short. There so many things I want to do, so many places, restaurants, concerts I want to see…I need a friend that I know will agree to all. I love mushrooms. I drink milk each day, its routine. I believe in God but I don’t know of religion because I wasn’t raised in a church. There will be times I don’t want to go out, because I want to be alone. I love soccer to the max. I don’t like cheesiness or at least I try to believe I don’t. I don’t think sex has to be “special”. Don’t try to make me guess what is wrong with you, just tell me, and then I will comfort you.  I always have something to say, it doesn’t mean I will share it but I am thinking it. I hate my arms. I love long hair and beards on certain men. Don’t speak loud to grab attention. I don’t like being interrupted when speaking. I’m ticklish only on my right foot. It takes a lot to gross me out. I regret losing some friends. I am not good with children. I despise caterpillars. I bite my cuticles not my nails. I prefer reading the news rather than watching them. I hate people that are controlling. I believe in liberalism.  I don’t believe love comes at a young age. I bite my lip. I make a weird noise when I’m scratching my throat. I am a proud Mexican but not a proud Salvadorian.  I hate the fact that everything revolves around money. I track down songs that I like from commercials. I don’t draw hearts. It’s hard to be romantic when I hate cheesiness. I cry once a month and I don’t need a reason. I like to cut magazine images and make collages for fun. I don’t like vanilla and cinnamon smells. I like singing out loud! I sing to help me focus. I don’t give good advice. I don’t notice haircuts. I love retro stuff. I like things made out of newspaper.  I love being a Sandra. Now it’s up to you to love me.

I posted this over an year ago. So strange how I now disagree with half of these things. I wanted to add some other things.

I love Jesus. I love ministry. I love reading my Bible and being in love with the word. I can’t wait to fall in love. I enjoy meeting new people and asking them a lot of questions.  I enjoy sneezing and hearing others sneeze. I love cooking and getting compliments on the result. I love sleeping with my hair wet. I love when someone tickles my back. I enjoy when a song makes me thing of another song. I love going on dates. I love having the lights off and having a candle lit. I love pulp in my orange juice. I love popping my fingers. I love when people get excited. I love shivering. I love being with a friend and sitting in complete silence. I think a lot of dirty jokes in my head that deserve recognition. I love when I remember something I thought I wouldn’t remember. I love ticket stubs. I love live music. I love accordions and banjos. Facial hair is still hot to me. I love getting new drinks at Sonic, yes I will have grape sweet tea. I don’t think I am very funny. I wish I had more of a wit. I love laying in bed with my best friend and talk about our week.

I am sleepy, almost 2 a.m. I have class way to early tomorrow. Will continue to do this some other time.

This vs That #2

I have previously made clear how much I LOVE Florence & The Machine and Fleetwood Mac.

Here is a very popular song made famous by Fleetwood called The Chain. As you all know I am a huge fan of great covers. I think Florence and The Machine does justice to the original - remember when I first saw the video I was amazed on how good it was and how she made it her own. Check it out here.

They Deserve An Exclusive Post

Fleet Foxes, you cannot be a hipster if you don’t like them. Formed in Seattle, WA, with only an two EP’s and two full-length albums, this band has gained extreme popularity with several critically acclaimed magazines. Well, they should they are dang amazing! Robin Pecknold (lead singer) has an elegant way of writing lyrics, his wild imagination helps the listener create a visual interpretation of what he is singing. Don’t even get me started with the harmonies, they sure do know how to sooth the ear.

Anywho, this band has done astounding things to me. It’s rare to recognize a band that are not classified as Christian to help you spiritually. This is what Fleet Foxes has done to me. I don’t know if their lyrics are meant to be glorifying to God but I interpret them that way. I don’t know how to explain for it to make sense - when I hear them in my head I always think Yeah, Jesus you’re awesome

If you have NOT heard of this band. I encourage you to do so. Please. Here you just have to click these links.

These guys are talented. I am so digging this cover over the original.

Gungor is definitely one of my favorite Christian bands. Their lyrics reminds us to praise God for things we often forget that are HIS!
